How The System Works:
Standard DocShuttle System:
First of all, the HIPAA-compliant software program, DocShuttle Dictator, will be installed free of charge on a designated computer in your office. Each healthcare provider who will be dictating is provided with an easy-to-use handheld recorder (or one recorder may be shared), enabling the healthcare professional to dictate at his/her convenience, whether that is in the office, in the car, or at home. When finished dictating, the handheld is placed into its docking statiion at your office. With just a few keystrokes the voice files are transferred from the handheld recorder to the computer. A few more keystrokes will then upload the voice files into the DocShuttle program and then to the secure FTP site. The transcriptionists may then download the voice files from the FTP site and accurately transcribe them. When they are finished, they upload the finished transcription back to the FTP site. The healthcare provider or his/her office personnel may then download the finished transcription from the FTP site to the computer and print the transcribed files at their convenience. It is truly a very simple and easy process.
WebShuttle System:
With WebShuttle, healthcare providers can dictate from any phone calling a toll-free number using a secure line. When the call is made, the provider will be prompted to enter his/her 4-digit ID number and then he/she may begin dictating. The dictation is stored on the FTP site, which is then accessed by our well-trained professional transcriptionists. It is transcribed and then uploaded back to the FTP site where it can be downloaded and printed by the healthcare provider or his/her office personnel. Again, a very simple and easy process.
